# Privacy Policy **Effective Date:** April 28, 2026 **Last Updated:** April 28, 2026 Sleep Early ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is an iOS application that helps users build a habit of going to bed early. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we do and do not collect, and how we handle it. --- ## Summary **We do not collect any personal information from you.** **We have no servers and cannot see any of your data.** If you stop reading here, you have the full picture. --- ## 1. Information We Do Not Collect We do **not** collect, store, or transmit any of the following: - Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information - Your account credentials (the App has no account system) - Your location, IP address, device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV), or advertising identifiers - Your usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral data - Any data via third-party SDKs (we use none) --- ## 2. Information Stored on Your Device The App stores the following information **locally on your device** using Apple's SwiftData framework: - The dates on which you tapped the "check-in" button - Your local app preferences (notification time, theme, etc.) - Your in-app purchase status (whether you have unlocked Premium) This data never leaves your device unless you have iCloud Sync enabled (see Section 3). The developer cannot access this data. --- ## 3. iCloud Sync (Optional) If you have iCloud enabled on your iPhone (which is the default for most users), the App will automatically sync your check-in records and preferences to your **personal iCloud private database** using Apple's CloudKit framework. Notifications The App can send you a local bedtime reminder if you choose to enable it. These are **local notifications**, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. **No notification data passes through any server, including the developer's.** You can disable notifications at any time in: **iOS Settings → Notifications → Sleep Early** --- ## 5. In-App Purchases The App offers an optional one-time purchase ("Premium") to unlock additional themes and the year heatmap feature. Purchases are processed by **Apple's StoreKit**. We never see your payment information, Apple ID, or transaction details. The App only receives a confirmation that the purchase succeeded. Third-Party Services The App does **not** integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers. The only Apple frameworks used by the App are: - SwiftData (local data storage) - CloudKit (optional iCloud sync, your private database) - UserNotifications (local notifications) - StoreKit (in-app purchases) These are all Apple frameworks, governed by Apple's privacy policy. --- ## 7. Children's Privacy (COPPA) Sleep Early is suitable for users of all ages, including children under 13. The App does not knowingly collect any information from children — or anyone else — because **the App does not collect any user information at all**. The App contains no advertising, no third-party tracking, no social features, no chat, and no user-generated content. It is safe for children to use under appropriate adult guidance. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). --- ## 8. Data Retention and Deletion Because we do not collect or store your data on any server, there is no data for us to retain or delete on your behalf. To delete your local app data, simply uninstall the App. To delete iCloud data, follow: **iOS Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Sleep Early → Delete Data** --- ## 9. Your Rights Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data on our side to access, correct, or delete. The data is yours, on your device and in your iCloud, and you have full control of it through iOS settings. If you reside in a jurisdiction with privacy laws (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California, China's PIPL), the same applies: we hold no personal data of yours, so any data subject rights are exercised directly through your iOS device and iCloud account. --- ## 10. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. We will not retroactively change the privacy practices of data already on your device. --- ## 11.
